Alt text or An alt tag is an HTML tag that describes an image as an alternative to viewing the actual image.
Alt text (or tags) are very important for many reasons. Alt tags are important for visually impaired people that are using your site. They are also used by search engines to understand the "meaning" of an image. Alt tags are a must for your Web site's basic search engine content strategy.
