Baseline Metrics
A collection of data (usually averaged over a period of time) that establishes a "base" for analysis and comparison against future data in order to determine performance, quality, or progress.
In order to determine if your are improving, you've got to have some sort of starting point to compare against. Baseline Metrics can provide that point. Make sure you only select data relevant to your comparison to be included in your baseline.
