Search Funnel
A methodology for understanding how a user conducts a web based search prior to reaching a "conversion." A searcher works down the 'funnel' from broad, general keyword search terms to narrower, specific keywords. This enables advertisers to anticipate and develop keywords targeted to different stages within the funnel.
Try to determine the path that someone might take (in terms of keyword searches) when searching for your products. Would they tend to start with a broad search and then proceed to narrow it down, or would they start with very specific terms?
