Optimizing your opt-in process should not be a significant endeavour for you. Try to allocate one-half of a day to focus on the details of the process. Then, have key resources available (or ask your email service provider) to make an HTML welcome message and get help with some of the technical details. Within one day, you can refine and optimize your opt-in process. This will create long-term value.

The key is that you need to identify small details and work through those details one at a time. Utilize your email service provider if they offer technical services and ask for their insights on any specifics that they think might help you through the process.
